Intelligent Adaptive Forward Lighting (AFL)
New Astra’s intelligent AFL headlights change their pattern to suit the location and the weather. Sensing where you need the light most, they can even help you see around corners. And if something is coming the other way, they dip automatically. They can also be switched to ‘right hand traffic’ when travelling abroad.

Everything has its place
And the latest generation Astra has a whole new attitude to practical, ingenious interior stowage. Door pockets with room for bottles, a driver’s storage compartment, drinks holders, front and rear centre armrests with closed storage compartments – to name just a few examples – new Astra keeps everything within easy reach. With space for 351 litres of luggage – extendable to 1216 litres with the 60/40 split-folding rear seat – new Astra also ranks among the roomiest vehicles in its class. And with our Flex Floor system, allowing the load floor to be mounted level with the rear sill or to the folded rear seats, it’s easy to load and unload too.

Flex-Fix® bike carrier system
. Eliminating the need for a separate roof rack or rear carrier, the revolutionary Flex-Fix® incorporates an integrated carrier system for two bikes. Most of the time, Flex-Fix® stays hidden behind the rear number plate, but when the need arises, you simply extend it, attach the extra rear lights and fix your bikes to the carrier. And an acoustic warning sounds when the carrier is extended and reverse gear is engaged. Flex-Fix® will be available as an extracost option on most new Astra models.
